Playing pool volleyball

Pool volleyball is one of the many activities the Playmakers had where you can earn points for participating. We also did things like pool olympics, reggae dance lessons, and ping pong. (I let Jeff handle the ping pong without me. I'm not any good).

They also encouraged us to play some goofy indoor games when it was raining too hard like this one where we had to break three balloons between our bodies in less time than any other couple.

Prizes

After participating in all these activities, we had earned enough points to earn two pairs of Sandals (a necklace with miniature sandals on them), a sandals keychain, and a t-shirt signed by all the Playmakers. They presented the prizes at a ceremony every night. This is a picture of Jeff and I showing off our sandals and t-shirt with one of the playmakers (in her Halloween costume).

They also had a few billiards tables....outside!

Giant chess board

They had a giant chess game too. Jeff beat me but I actually kept the game going for quite awhile before losing.

They had a little area in the resort with some slot machines that I played when it was raining a few times. I was getting lucky for awhile. Too bad a didn't quit while I was ahead. (I learned my lesson and quit early when I won a whole bucketfull of quarters in Nassau this year).

The bar

Here's a photo of Jeff at one of the bars. All drinks (and food) are included and no tipping is allowed. I had alot of Strawberry Daquiris with Jamaican Rum.

Here's a picture of Jeff eating dinner. It was taken at The Courtyard at Sandals Royal Jamaican (see more about Royal Jamaican on the next page). It was one of the best meals I've ever had and also my first candlelight dinner.

Eating Dinner

This picture was taken after dinner on the outdoor deck at Sandals MoBay. I had ribs that night which are not easy to eat by candlelight...

They had a bunch of peacocks walking around the resort. Sometimes they would go up on the outdoor patio to get the dropped food. It was funny to watch. I also saw a HUGE crab. I wish I had my camera then.

Palm tree

Here's a cool picture of one of the trees on the beach....

This tree looked much more impressive (and strange) in person. If I remember correctly, that little sign in front of it says its called a Traveller's Palm.

Interesting tree
